International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism

Promoting the universalization and effective implementation of the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism (ICSANT) This side event will bring together Member States, international organizations, regional partners, and practitioners to discuss the role of the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism ( ICSANT ) in strengthening global nuclear security and preventing nuclear terrorism. It will highlight experiences, lessons learned, and good practices in promoting adherence to and implementation of ICSANT , while emphasizing the importance of multilateral cooperation, capacity-building, and sustained political commitment. The event aims to support universalization of the Convention and strengthen international efforts to counter nuclear terrorism and enhance global security.
